Additional labeling of dietary supplements is no longer used in Russia

On biologically active additives (BAA), implemented in the Russian Federation, it is no longer required to apply labeling in terms of indicating information about the state registration of BAA. Such a requirement is not provided for by the technical regulations of the Eurasian economic Union (EAEU), but there were cases when it was presented in Russia.
At the same time, according to the Treaty on the EAEU, member States ensure the circulation of products that meet the requirements of the EAEU technical regulations on their territory without presenting additional requirements in relation to the requirements contained in the technical regulations of the Union.
The Federal service for supervision of consumer rights protection and human well-being of Russia (Rospotrebnadzor) has sent explanations to its territorial bodies and subordinate organizations that the requirement to apply information on state registration to dietary Supplements should not be applied from now on. This was the result of the joint work of the Eurasian economic Commission, government agencies and the Russian business community.
